Beautiful LiesBy: Gina Whitney
I’d like to thank my boyfriend, lover, and best friend, Rafael. Writers oftentimes go off into their own worlds. I seem to live in mine. Having a partner who accepts this fact is vital for our relationship’s survival. Luckily, I have the best boyfriend, who loves me unconditionally and supports me in everything I do. Rafael, you’re the most amazing person, and I do not deserve you. I adore you. You own my heart.
My boys, PJ and Drew, my funny, passionate, brilliant, raging hormonal teenage sons, as well as my boyfriend’s children, Gianna and RJ, you have been super supportive, encouraging, excited, and understanding with my writing. Thank you for being the best children a mom could ever hope for. I love you more than you know.
To the amazing bloggers and authors who have shared, pimped, and beta read, you all work tirelessly mostly behind the scenes to read, review, pimp, and get readers to one-click and share. I oftentimes think you never get the proper thanks for all you do. Kudos and love to you and all you do daily. You do what you love and love what you do, and that doesn’t go unnoticed by me. I love you all, and if I could wrap you up in a giant hug, I would. BookChick BlogReviews, I love my mocha chick something fierce. Christine Stanley and Kristen Karwen, you’re my sisters from another mister for sure. I’m so very glad we met and became friends.
To my beta readers: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Your support and input has made this book what it is. I feel fortunate to have found you. Love you all!
To my One-Click Chicks, who tirelessly pimp, share, and blog with smiles on your faces and love in your hearts, which truly humbles me. If I could take you on a tropical vacation (girls only) to thank you all properly, I would.
To my PA Lady Ambers Reviews, aka Amber Garcia, aka my chick, aka A, aka my biatch, I am so very thankful that the stars aligned on the day I met you. I cannot express fully my deepest appreciation for you and what your loyalty, support, and friendship mean to me. I will forever be your friend, support you, love you, and be loyal. Your hella hot teasers, banners, and attention to detail are ridiculous. Not to mention the epic weekend we had in New York City or the fact that I can’t listen to Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” or Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love” without LMAO and thinking of you. We make an epic team. Thank you for always having my back, chick!
Regina from May I Designs, thank you, doll. Love my trailer, and thank you for bringing my vision to fruition. You are one talented, kickass chick that I’m looking forward to continuing working with.
To my readers, thank you all. I’m still blown away by your tweets, posts, PMs, reviews, support, and emails. I can’t express to you what it means to be a proud indie author. I never believed for one day that I would achieve a tenth of what has gone on this year. I still have quite a way to go. To say I’m humbled by you wouldn’t adequately describe the depth of gratitude I have. You’ve helped me realize a dream as a writer. Having you pick up one of my books, enjoy the story, love the characters, and want more leaves me with love in my heart and a smile on my face. I am grateful. Hopefully, you are able to escape for a few hours or days, leaving you feeling the same way ;). You rock!
To my cheerleaders: Aunt Sue, who attends seven o’clock mass every morning and listens tentatively to all my sex talk and cursing, and who is always encouraging and supportive; Alice, who cheers me any time day or night (and who’s become obsessed with smut); and my sister, who always has a way of keeping me grounded and laughing.
Thanks to Lauren Berju Stanco for helping me find the perfect quote for Beautiful Lies.
Joel, Terri, Elise, Olga, and Jessica, thank you for all your incredible work and for tolerating my obscene mouth and thoughts. I truly appreciate everything.
